Well... I don't write it a lot or so... but the text gave haikus so much more depth than any teacher ever did in school; I was given a new point of view, so to speak. I've tried a few times to write some, but have really just ended up with an idea which I've written down and then forgotten. The form of writing in itself became a lot easier to understand. Emm... I really just thought that it's such a... for lack of better vocabulary, dedicated and detailed, encompassing text that I was a little awed. And I wanted to keep it "stored" too... for reference later. ^^"

Hahahahaha - yeah, teachers often only know 5-7-5 and that's about it. I am going to write a second essay soon on the content of haiku and senryu. Senryu has the same form as haiku, and similar structures, but is more about human-nature than the human in nature.

Thankyou so much for the lovely comments. I think dedicated and detailed are great ways to describe it and I am truly happy you think so. I hope that it proves to be useful for references in the future.
